Oh and I especially liked the story you relayed on seeing a female temple caretaker who looked a little crazy, who could actually be dakinis. How mysterious and magical, something we would not know if Rinpoche did not tell us. How blessed you are to have such an encounter and to remember Rinpoche’s advice!

Uncle Lai looks extremely vibrant and happy too. This is a really good trip for him and Paul’s mother also I am sure.

Nyatrul can not be subdued by Tagphu Pemavajra and the other high lamas due to the heavy karma created by the Tibetan Government who killed Nyari Tulku even when he was innocent. Again this proof that Karma cannot be avoided. And Karma just does not work for individuals but can also have an effect on the whole nation. That is only few peoples kill Nyari Tulku but the whole Tibet is suffering for this.

This is Buddhism, always teach us take responsibility of your life, no one can help us to walk the path, Buddha and our Guru mainly show us the path. Understand Karma is always a hope in life that is how I look at it. And yet, the Tibetan leadership, past and present, have created and are still creating more negative karma not only affected Tibet but also others in the world such like us the Dorje Shugden Practitioner. That is why we need to lift the ban of Dorje Shugden so that Tibetan leadership will not continue creating more negative Karma and bringing suffering to others.

It’s an interesting article to read on how poor and wrongly Tibetan government make judgement and accused innocence for murdering the 13th Dalai Lama. It’s heartbreaking to hear that how a holy master Nyari Tulku been insulted, brutally tortured to death, his burial and cremation done. I was quite amused to read on his transformation to Nyatrul. This is a very bad karma for the Tibetan government.
Thank you Rinpoche,Pastor Jean Ai and Genla for sharing this article.

With folded palm,
Andrea

This is interesting story to read about Nyatrul spirit. It make think deeply what is our last thinking when death caught up with us. Cause and effect is the law of the universal. It with lead our karma take control us for the next rebirth. Nyari tulku dead cause by mistreated badly by Gaden Phodrang and vow to destroy tibetan government. Just because he had anger and rebirth as the spirit and can’t be subdue in that time and continue create more negative karma just to revenge on whom causing his death and become powerful spirit.

Similar situation how Tulku Drakpa Gyelsen get murder, but his motivation is to become dharma protector to protect and promote Lama Tsongkhapa teaching. The lamas had different motivations at the time of their death. So the prayers they made at the time of their death, and their ‘motivation’ for dying was different. I ready hope on day Nyatrul spirit can rest in peace and take the good rebirth.

This article shows how the karma of wrong-doings will catch up. Nowadays we have to follow the law and don’t accuse someone without having evidence. It stops people from doing very bad things like hurting or even, like in this case, killing people without being sure what happened. I feel very sorry for what happened to the holy monk and that he became a damaging spirit. I hope he can rise above what happened to him.

In the meantime it reminds me of what happened to Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen who being killed vowed to arose as a Dharma Protector for the benefit of all beings. It is a reminder how kind Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was as well as his illustrious line of incarnation. I hope that the ban on Dorje Shugden will be released swiftly for the benefit and blessing of the world and all its beings.

Thank you for this interesting write-up who helps us to understand a lot more.

It has been predicted that Nechung will retire soon as protector of the Dharma, in general and Dorje Shugden will arise as the Protector of Lama Tsongkhapa’s tradition. So it is possible that all the events that have taken place were to pave the way for the replacement of Nechung who has served His Holiness well.

May the ban be removed very soon and Dorje Shugden be given his rightful place as the Peace Protector of our times.

Shame to Tibetan government to kill and punished the innocent Nyari Tulku who has not done anything wrong. Because of this wrong, such a huge negative karma created, one to one after another hence many suffered. But why is that until today the CTA and HHDL still believe in Nechung when oracle took trance which all knew that it is actually spirit Nyatrul? Perhaps the karma accumulated by Tibetan government negative karma is so strong until they are blinded with all the negative karma and continue to do bad.

The Tibetan government did the same to Tulku Drakpa Gyelsen but just because Tulku Drakpa Gyelsen had the different motivation on death hence He arose as a Dharma Protector. Where by Nyari Tulku do not have that attainment hence he vowed to take revenge instead of Dharma.

Understand and practice Dharma correctly and deeply is very important because karma do not just affect individually but it does effect people around us and as a whole created sufferings for others. I wished people can make decision base on the law of karma before they work things out hence less karma less sufferings.

Kind of makes me wonder why would this being target children.

it wasn’t children who harmed her and cut her mouth. Intriguing to read about such a negative entity. May we all remember protective mantras if we do encounter such entities.

Many line of high incarnations have displayed unorthodox behaviour, including the line of incarnation from the Dalai Lama, Chogyam Trungpa. The high incarnations can do such actions for the benefit of the people they wish to help and assist, it is always actions that are focused out and not about just purely indulgence.

What is right & what is wrong? Are they classify by our perceptions solely? A common example, a child steal because he has been starving for the longest time and what he need is just foods.. Should he be punished or helped?

A lot of us have fear because of karma, therefore, we follow rules & regulations, and we hope we will not face any punishment in the future if we did something negative, conversly, we do good deeds and we expect that we will have better living environments in the future.

Personally I think that karma is neutral, we are the one who are making it negative & positive. What we have done are what are going to get sooner or later. If we don’t stop the cycle, we are going to trap in the cycle of suffering(Samsara) forever until we realised.

Thank you Beatrix for sharing this article and bringing a new term chaplain. This is the first time I have heard of it. No matter what work we are in I think we should have spiritual practise which is why even the US army engage in chaplain. Important to have a positive mind through spirituality.

Robert McCarthy shows us the importance of giving back to the society and doing the service to benefit others. I also like his comment that there should not be a mix in politic and religion.

It is a wonderful news on the establishment of a Tibetan centre in Qinghai China. With this more young people who are interested in Tibetan Buddhism and monks can enroll to this centre. It creates more opportunities for the younger generation to learn Buddhism knowledge and later to benefit the others.

As said, “The Dragon is rising and will fly high in the sky.” According to a religious white paper report, it was said China in 1997, has more than 13,000 Buddhist Temples, with 200,000 buddhist monks and nuns; amongst them 120,000 are Lamas and nuns. China, it was said had been accused of suppressing religious freedom, but has on the other hand, made an open statement that anybody, or anyone may practice any religion that one likes, because it is your individual rights to do so, as said by them! This is indeed a large contrast between the so-called “suppressed” and the “Suppresser”! Most countries are today succumbing to change their policies regarding China for making such a Declaration, which was tabulated in Reuters Report dated 21,Dec.,2015 – stibulating that citizens have the freedom of belief in Tibet. The Central Government and Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region fully respect the rights of citizens to freedom of belief. In Tibet, all religions and sects receive equal respects and protection and normal activities and religious belief is protected by the law! Many heart-felt thanks, and syalbas to you, China for your great compassion and kind understanding!

“One of the reasons I was so attracted to Buddhism was that it was patently unpolitical, I was not being told how to cast my ballot.” – Robert Shuken Ju-Etsu McCarthy

Though Buddhist are against killing, these chaplains are bringing solace, peace, acceptance and salvation to the men and women who are defending their country.

And, to people like Robert McCarthy, Buddhism is apolitical. Equality for all, regardless. Acceptance of all, regardless as the post held by McCarthy epitomizes. No discrimination but acceptance.

And, the number of Buddhists and Buddhist chaplains are growing. And, there already is a chapel within the army grounds at United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel. There definitely is integration of religions within the United States military.

Comment on How Plastic Destroys Our Seas by Stella Cheang

This is an inter-related world; whatever we do will create an impact on the overall ecosystem and hence on the life of others. It is so sad to know that our choice of consumption / choice of products has a direct negative impact on the life of so many other living beings. Imagine finding 276 pieces of plastic, some as big as a toothbrush, in the small stomach of a 90 days old seabird! Plastic, once ingested, can block or rupture the digestive tract and leak contaminants into the bird’s blood stream, resulting in stomach ulcerations, liver damage, infertility and ultimately, death. Also, plastic in the water is a magnet for toxic. Research by marine biologists found plastic floating in the water absorb toxic chemicals that have been washed out to the sea from industrial and agricultural waste, which are lethally dangerous and harmful. As tons and tons of plastic and chemical toxic are being dumped into the ocean every year, the marine life and other life forms that it support, including human life are exposed to the same chemical waste (plastic including) that we once thought casually about. How ironic. We need to relook at our lifestyle and make some significant changes. It is imperative to live our life causing the least negative impact on others possible. We don’t have to literally jump into the ocean to save our friends, little things like reducing the use of plastic count too. Thank you so much Rinpoche for this article to create awareness for the ocean where we all rely and depend on it, whether we know it or not.
